10 BEST HOMEMADE FACE MASKS
Time-tested folk recipes can be good alternatives to expensive cosmetic products. People have been using the healing properties of many food items for hundreds of years. Honey is known for its rejuvenating and nourishing properties, eggs have moisturizing and softening effects, parsley juice relieves inflammation, and vitamin-rich aloe accelerates metabolic processes, heals, and nourishes your skin.
Don’t forget that you might be allergic to some products. In case of any doubts, apply a little amount of the mixture on your wrist and wait for 15 minutes. If it doesn’t irritate your skin, you can safely use it.
Boiled potato mask
Mix 1 tbsp of mashed boiled potatoes with 1 tbsp of olive oil, homemade sour cream, or milk. Apply this mixture and leave it on for about 15-20 minutes, then rinse your face with warm water.
Mix 1 yolk with 1 tbsp of kefir (you can replace it with homemade sour cream or olive oil). Leave the mask on for about 15-20 minutes and rinse it off.
Add 1 tbsp of natural honey to 1 tbsp of fresh aloe juice. Leave the mixture on for 10 minutes, then rinse your skin with warm water.
Potato juice mask
Mix 1 tbsp of fresh potato juice, 1 yolk, 1 tsp of olive oil, and some bran. Stir the mixture until it looks like liquid sour cream. Let it sit for about 20 minutes. Rinse the mask off.
Green tea mask
Take a gauze pad and soak it in strong green tea. Сut eye and lip holes in the pad to avoid applying the mask to these parts of your face. Leave the mask on for 15-20 minutes.
Mix 2 tbsp of grapefruit pulp, 1 tbsp of kefir, 1 tbsp of bran. Stir until thick. Leave the mixture on for 20 minutes and then rinse it off. After using this mask, you can apply your usual cream.
Sour cream mask
Add 1 yolk to 1 tbsp of sour cream and leave this mixture on for 20 minutes.
Cottage cheese mask
Mix 2 tsp of low-fat cottage cheese with 1 tsp of parsley juice or strong tea, 1 tsp of linseed oil, lemon or orange zest. The mask should be left on for 15 minutes. Then wash it off.
You need to mix 1 tsp of finely chopped parsley, 1 tsp of sour cream or olive oil. Put the mask on for about 15-20 minutes.
Mix 1 tbsp of fresh yeast with water. Stir well. Add 1 tbsp of vegetable oil to the mixture. Apply two layers of the mask: wait until the first layer dries out and apply the second one. Leave the mask on for 10 minutes and rinse it off.
