Quick and Effective Ways to Get Rid of Dark Under-Eye Circles
The skin around your eyes is an indicator of your health. Constant fatigue, lack of sleep or alcohol can eventually lead to dark under-eye circles or bags. If you want to get rid of them, first of all, it’s necessary to identify the reasons why they appear.
Causes of dark under-eye circles
Chronic sleep deprivation. Make it a rule to sleep at least 7 hours. 4 or 5 hours are not sufficient for the body. Lack of sleep provokes pallor, red eyes and black eye-rim.
Stress. Sleep disorders may also result from stressful situations. Difficulties at work or personal problems have an adverse impact on your nervous system and can disrupt body internal processes. In particular, constant stress can lead to impaired hormonal balance which causes a number of skin disorders. When this occurs, I recommend you to consult a neuropathologist, gynecologist or thyroid specialist.
Poor nutrition. Fried, spicy, smoke-dried and fatty foods are non-healthy and very harmful to the periorbital area. In addition, coffee and alcohol greatly contribute to the formation of dark circles and puffiness.
Allergy. If you are allergic to dust, flowering plants, animal hair or cold air, it’s impossible to avoid watery eyes and itching. Your eyelids become irritated and as a result, you have reddish circles under the eyes.
Anemia and insufficient blood supply. If you want to find out if anemia can be the reason for your baggy eyes, it’s better to consult a doctor and undergo the appropriate testing.
Other reasons. Dark under-eye circles can result from dieting and long-term use of antibiotics or hormonal medications.
Cosmetics that help reduce black eye-rim
Kojic acid or hydroquinone cream. It has a powerful whitening effect and significantly reduces skin darkening in the delicate under-eye area.
Caffeine cream. It helps stimulate the activity of blood vessels.
Epidermal growth factor cream. It’s one of the most effective skin care products for eliminating black eye-rim.

Cottage cheese mask
Mash some high-fat cottage cheese and add a few drops of strong tea. Make round cakes from the resulting mass and apply them to the area around your eyes.
Mix 10 g of chopped walnuts and warm butter. Add 4 drops of pomegranate or lemon juice. Apply this mixture to your under-eye area for about 20-25 minutes.
Blend 20 g of fresh parsley. Add 3 drops of lemon juice to this mixture.
Effective under-eye poultices
An efficient way to get rid of dark under-eye circles and bags is to wipe the area around your eyes with pieces of cosmetic ice made from sage, parsley, chamomile, cornflower or dill decoctions.
Put a tablespoon of any of the above-mentioned herbs in a cup of boiled water (250 ml) and let it infuse for about 30 minutes. Cool the infusion and pour it into ice trays.
